This policy explains what information nickdatle.com collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The site is the personal website of Nick Dat Le, an AI engineer in Los Angeles. Information collected automatically
I use PostHog product analytics to understand how the site is used. It collects page views, clicks, the referring site, browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. It uses cookies and browser storage to recognize a returning browser. This data is processed on PostHog's US servers.
I also use Ahrefs Web Analytics for cookieless page view counts. My hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and operations.
Information you give me
The contact form asks for your name, email address, and a message. When you submit it, the message is delivered by email to me. I use it only to reply to you.
How the information is used
I use analytics to see which pages are useful and how people find the site. Server logs help keep the site secure and working. Contact form messages are used to respond to the person who sent them. Messages are kept as long as needed to reply and for records. Analytics data is kept according to the analytics providers' retention settings. There are no user accounts, no payments, and no advertising networks on this site. I do not use your information for advertising.
Who it is shared with
The information described above is shared with the service providers named in this policy: PostHog, Ahrefs, and Vercel. I do not sell or share your personal information for marketing. I may disclose information if required by law.
Cookies and browser storage
PostHog uses cookies and browser storage to recognize a returning browser. The site works without accepting cookies or browser storage, so you are not required to accept anything. There is no cookie banner because none is required for this use.
Your choices and rights
You can block analytics with browser privacy settings or extensions. You can ask me what personal information I hold about you, and you can ask me to delete it. If you are a California resident, you may make these requests under California law. To make a request, email nick@nickdatle.com.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
